Games of the XXIX Olympiad - Beijing 2008
On 13 July 2001 at the 112th IOC Session in Moscow, Beijing was elected the Host City for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad in 2008. The vote followed in line with the recommendation of the IOC Evaluation Commission that "a Beijing Games would leave a unique legacy to China and to sports. 10th World Leisure Congress
The Congress will be hosted by the Conseil québécois du loisir, supported by the Government of Québec . A strong delegation from Québec gave an impressive presentation to the delegates of 7th World Congress recently held in Kuala Lumpur. The Congress will coincide with Québec City's 400th Anniversary celebrations. IFPRA Europe 2009
The Ifpra Europe Congress 2009 is to be held in Mikkeli, the capital of Eastern Finland and a gateway to the Finnish Lakeland. Nature is never far away in this city of just under 50,000 inhabitants.
