Asia / Pacific
IFPRA Asia Pacific is
one of two regional groupings of the Federation. The Region
extends from Saudi Arabia to Hawaii and from China to
New Zealand, currently there are 165 members, some are
affiliate or corporate members that have up to 20,000
staff emplyed in the Park and Recreation Industry. Member
countries, through their professional organisations, elect
a representative for IFPRA who is then known as a Commissioner.
The Commissioners meet on a regular basis and elect office
bearers for a three (3) year term. The Principal officers

Regional Congress is held every 3 years. Past Congresses
have been held in Australia, Japan, New Zealand, China
and Singapore, with a future event scheduled for New Zealand in 2008
and Cairns Queensland in 2011.
The
Region produces a quarterly newsletter, known as the Circular.
